Description

Neithrop House is a house dating to approximately 1839, constructed in three builds. The left section is two storeys high with a two-window range, executed in the Gothic Revival style. It features lined stucco, a slate roof, and a stone end stack. The windows, which are sashes to both the ground and first floors, have renewed hood moulds and label stops. The main section to the right is stuccoed with a tile roof, clustered stone end stacks, and stone parapets. It is also two storeys high and features a three-window range. Three stone-mullioned and transomed windows to the ground floor have hood moulds and label stops. The central bay has a mock gable front. A string course and moulded stone eaves cornice are present. Connected to the rear is a further range, creating a double-depth plan, and featuring the main entrance on the right, approached via stone steps. The pointed arched doorway has a hood mould with head stops, and it now has a 20th-century door. The first floor of the rear range has a two-light stone-mullioned window. The rear elevation includes an embattled parapet and stone coping. The road-facing elevation features an embattled bay window and a doorway with a moulded hood mould and head stops. The interior has not been inspected.
