Description
The Cross Bar is a house that has been converted into a coffee bar. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a red fish-scale tile roof with a brick stack at one end. It is a single storey plus attic and has a two-window range. On the right side, there is a 20th-century door with a narrow overlight and a wooden lintel. To the left, there is a two-light window with a wooden lintel. The first floor has two two-light wooden casements, each with a lintel. A single gabled roof dormer with bargeboards is present. Inside, the building features chamfered cross-beams and a plaster ceiling with a floral motif.
