Description

This is a small cottage located to the left of the Methodist Chapel on Main Street in North Newington. It was likely built in the late 18th century. The cottage is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with a brick end stack. It has a single-unit plan, comprising a single storey plus an attic. The rear entrance is accessed via a plank door set within a moulded wooden frame. Two-light casement windows are present on both the ground and attic floors, each with chamfered wooden lintels. Inside, the cottage retains original beams, plank doors, and a winder staircase.
