Description

The walled garden to the east of Haymans Hill Farmhouse dates from the 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed from red and blue brick and sandstone blocks. The western wall, which is closest to the house, stands approximately 8 feet high, with the lower half made of coursed sandstone and the upper half of brick, topped with coping bricks. The other walls are made entirely of brick, and there is an entrance in the east wall that is flanked by tall capped piers. The enclosed area measures about 30 by 50 metres.
