Description
This is an anonymous headstone dated 1691, located approximately 6 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Speldhurst. The headstone is made of sandstone and stands about 350 millimeters high. It features a shaped head that curves over a crudely carved face, with the date 1691 flanked by numbers. The inscription is in large capitals, but the name of the deceased is not visible.
