Description
This is an anonymous chest tomb from the 18th century, located approximately 3 meters west of the tower of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Speldhurst. The tomb is made of sandstone ashlar and has a rectangular shape with plain inset corners. Its sides feature fielded panels, and it has a flat lid with moulded edges and a moulded base. Any inscription that may have been present has worn away over time.
