Description
The Skinner headstone, dated 1745, is located approximately 8 meters south of the nave of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Speldhurst. This headstone is an upright sandstone slab that stands about 450 millimeters high. It features shaped curves above a carving of two winged cherub heads and a crown. The inscription below is in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, commemorating the death of Thomas Skinner in 1745.
