Description

Chase Cottage and The Old House comprise a single building dating to the 18th century. The building is two storeys and has an attic. Number 49, The Old House, has a facade of red mathematical tiles, while Number 47, Chase Cottage, which is a later addition of one window bay to the north, is constructed of red brick with grey headers. The roof is tiled, with three dormers. Features include a cornice and parapet. Originally, the building had only four window bays, but it now has eight. The original glazing bars are intact. Number 49 has two modern bays of three windows each added to its facade, constructed in red brick on both floors. A wide porch supported by Tuscan columns and topped with a pediment has also been added.
