Description

A late 18th- to early 19th-century cottage, originally part of a terrace of three. Numbers 2 and 3 form what is now known as Cob Cottage. The walls are of cob construction and have been rendered with pebbledash. The roofs are thatched, with brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high. Number 2 has a part-glazed door within a porch covered in shingles. On the ground floor are two casement windows with cast iron fittings; the first floor has three casement windows, two with cast iron fittings and one with leaded lights. A single-storey lean-to extends from the north end. Number 3 has a modern stone porch with a flat roof and a modern metal casement window on the ground floor. The first floor has two casement windows with cast iron fittings. A thatched lean-to is attached to the south end.
