Description
Grebe Cottage is a cottage that likely dates back to the 17th century. It features plastered cob walls, a thatched roof, and a brick chimney. The building is positioned at right angles to the road and has been recently extended at the rear. It is one storey with attics. The entrance is located on the east front, which has an oak ledged door set in a thatched porch. On the ground floor, there is one casement window with glazing bars, while the attic includes one dormer with a casement window that also has glazing bars. The west front has two casement windows with glazing bars on the ground floor and two dormers in the attic, each with casements and glazing bars. The new rear extension is two storeys high, with plastered walls and a thatched roof. There is also a single-storey extension on the east side, featuring concrete block walls and a tiled roof, along with a modern flat-roofed porch. Inside, the cottage has a large open fireplace with an oak lintel and exposed ceiling beams on the ground floor.
