Description

Cockshot Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on Highgate Hill in Hawkhurst. It is timber framed and weather-boarded, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a garret, featuring stacks at the rear left and a projecting, offset stack at the end right. The front has a regular arrangement of two three-light wooden casements on each floor, with a central boarded door. To the left, there is a lean-to outshot that includes a three-light wooden casement, and at the rear, there is a catslide outshot. A garret light is present on the left return.
