Coach House Block And The Flat, About 20 Metres North West Of Tongswood

The Coach House Block and The Flat, located about 20 metres north-west of Tongswood, is a mid to late 19th century building that serves as a coach-house and accommodation. It is constructed of red brick with polychrome brick details and features an ornamental tile roof.

The domestic section on the left is two storeys high, featuring a gable and projecting paired gables on the left return. Access is provided by a boarded door in the left return, with two glazing bar sash windows on each floor and lower gabled extensions at the rear. The main range is one storey with an attic, showcasing a parapet gabled roof, a central louvred turret, and four gabled half-dormers, with the rightmost dormer having a loft door. There are boarded doors on the end right and in the centre, which is framed by a gabled porch, with a casement window between them, all featuring arched surrounds. An inappropriate 20th-century metal casement window is located on the left side.

To the right, the coach-house wing projects from the main range, featuring a kneelered parapet gable and boarded carriage doors on the ground floor. This building is included for its group value.
