Description

This bridge, dated 1834, is located on Water Lane in Hawkhurst. It is constructed of red brick and features a single arched span over a stream. The keystones on the arch are inscribed with "TR" on the western side and "TT 1834" on the eastern side. The parapet wall, which has been partially rebuilt, stands about 3 feet above road level and is canted at both ends by approximately 1 metre, serving as a retaining wall for the stream bank on either side.
