Description

Rowan Tree Cottage, part of a row of cottages known as Borough Cottages, dates from the early 19th century. It's timber-framed with a red brick plinth and weatherboarded elevations. The roof is tiled and hipped, featuring an end stack on the left and a ridge stack on the right. The cottage has a symmetrical 4-window facade, with glazing bar sash windows throughout. A boarded door is located to the right of the ground floor window on the left, while a pair of panelled doors sit centrally and another is situated to the left of the window on the right. Each door is sheltered by a pentice hood.
