Description

Baptist Chapel, dating from the 18th century and converted in 1787. The building is timber-framed and covered in weatherboarding, with a plain tiled half-hipped roof. It has three round-headed windows with glazing bars on the north side, and a doorway with a wooden porch hood to the left. Inside, there is a gallery at the south-east end with a moulded upper rail. The pulpit, likely from the early 19th century, is located at the north-west end and features fluted supports and a round-arched back panel. A communion table with two supports and a small desk on top, sloping on four sides for singers, is also present. The chapel appears to have been created from the conversion of two cottages, as blocked openings are visible internally.
