Description

This is a coachhouse and stable built around 1810, located about 20 meters northwest of Down House. The structure features red and blue chequered brick and has plain tiled roofs. The two-storey coachhouse has pilaster strip quoins and a parapet on its hipped roof, with a stack projecting from the rear left. On the first floor, there are two wooden casements, while the ground floor has paired double carriage doors beneath a single large keyed segmental arch. Attached to the right is a single-storey hipped stable wing, which includes a boarded door with a rectangular fanlight.
