Description

Arnewood is a house dating from the 17th century, with an early 19th-century facade. It is timber framed with a rendered exterior and features a coped parapet above a plain tiled roof. The building has three storeys and a plat band, with a two-window front and a small central window on the second floor. The windows are sashes without glazing bars, located in a heavy parapeted canted bay on the ground floor and first floor of the right-hand bay. There is a half-glazed door with a fanlight above it, set in a round-arched entrance. Inside, some timber framing is visible, showcasing thin scantling in the secondary members and heavier wall posts.
