Description

Kent Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with an early 19th-century front. It is timber framed with a rendered front and features a coped parapet above a plain tiled roof. The building has three storeys and a regular two-window front, with a small central window on the second floor. The ground floor has sash windows without glazing bars, set in heavy parapeted canted bays. There is a panelled door with a fanlight in an arched surround, topped with an open pediment. Inside, the timber frame is visible, showcasing thin scantling for the secondary members and heavier posts.
