Description

Elm Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on the north side of Cranbrook High Street. It features a timber-framed structure with a red brick ground floor and is clad with tile hanging on the first floor. The roof is plain tiled and has a gable facing the street, with bargeboards on the gable and a side stack to the left. The building is two storeys high with a garret, and it has one window in the gable and two windows on the first floor, all of which are glazing bar sashes set in open boxes. To the right, there is a projecting octagonal bay with a hipped tiled roof, and a boarded door is positioned to the right of the bay. This cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
