Description

This is an 18th-century house, with an early 19th-century cottage pair attached to the rear at the right. The front elevation is painted brick on a red brick plinth, while a rear wing is part brick and part tile hung, with a bracketed cornice. The roof is tiled, hipped to the right, and features an end stack and two flat-headed dormers. The house has two storeys and attics, with a regular three-window front. It has glazing bar sashes with open boxes, and the ground floor windows have pseudo-gauged, keyed heads. A central 19th-century shop front features a flat cornice hood over pilasters, a half-glazed door with margin-light glazing, and a decorated transom light above the door. A two-storey wing extends to the rear, displaying scattered fenestration and entrances to Tillven Cottage on the left and Jenner Cottages on the right.
