Description
Nos 2 and 3 Tippens Close are a pair of cottages built in the early to mid-19th century. They feature a distinctive red and blue brick chequer pattern on the ground floor, while the first floor is tile-hung. The cottages have a plain tiled roof with a central stack and flanking hipped dormers. They are two storeys tall with attics and have a two-window front, showcasing glazing bar sash windows with open boxes on the first floor. The entrances are located on either side of the window bays and consist of flush panel doors. Notably, the first floor extends over the ground floor on the left side, creating a jetty effect. These cottages are included in the register for their group value.
