Description

Wheatsheaf Cottage is a late 18th-century house, originally a shop and house, with alterations from the 19th century. It is likely rendered over red brick and has a hipped pantile roof, with a single red brick stack to the right. A raised eaves band is visible. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway is sheltered by a segmental arch with a panelled door. A 19th-century shop window is located to the right, featuring four arched lights, pilasters, a frieze and a cornice. To the left is a single glazing bar sash window also set within a segmental arch. Above are two glazing bar sash windows. A two-storey wing and a lean-to are situated at the rear.
