Description

Charnwood House is an early 19th-century house in Farnsfield, built of red brick with a pantile roof and two red brick gable stacks. It has dentil eaves and originally comprised three bays. The central doorway features a panelled door with decorative glazing bars above, a flush painted wedge lintel, and a keystone. Flanking the doorway are single sash windows with rusticated painted wedge lintels and keystones. Above these are two similar sash windows and a lintel, with a smaller central sash window above the doorway, also with a matching lintel. To the left is a single-storey, single-bay extension built of red brick with a plain tile roof and featuring a single bowed sash window. The building is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
