Description

Malting's Restaurant is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, dating from around 1840. It is constructed of red brick and features a steep hipped plain tiled roof, which includes two later 20th-century skylights. The building is two storeys high with attics and has a somewhat irregular three-window front, fitted with glazing bar sashes and gauged heads. On the ground floor to the left, there is a square projecting shop window. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed and panelled door, which has panelled reveals set in a reeded frame, topped with a shallow flat hood. The front of the building facing High Street includes a ground floor shop front.
