Description
54 Boutport Street is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It likely dates from the late 18th century and was altered in the early 19th century, possibly involving the re-fronting of an earlier building. The front is made of painted brick, while the right gable is covered in slate. The roof is slated, and there is a red brick chimney on the left side wall. The building has three storeys, with one window on the second storey and two on the third. The ground storey features a recessed late 20th-century restaurant front. The second storey has a bay window with rounded sides and a cornice at the top; it includes barred sashes with 8 over 12 panes in the centre and 2 over 3 panes on the sides. The third-storey windows are late 20th-century wood casements with two lights and glazing bars. A prominent eaves cornice appears to be moulded. The interior has not been inspected.
