79 Boutport Street is a house with a shop, built in the early 19th century. It has a solid rendered front, and the roof is not visible from the street. There are red brick chimneys on each side wall. The building is three storeys high and has a three-window range. The ground storey features a shop front on the right and a house door on the left, both flanked and separated by Doric pilasters that support an entablature with a dentilled cornice. The shop door is half-glazed with a raised-and-fielded bottom panel, while the house door is six-panelled, with the two bottom panels flush. The upper-storey windows have barred sashes, with six over six panes in the second storey and three over six panes in the third storey, except for the middle window on the third storey, which is blind. There is a top entablature. The interior was not inspected.
