Description
Ruffles Restaurant is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the mid-18th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is made of brick, with the front colourwashed, and features a pantile roof. It has a rendered plinth, rebated eaves, and a single gable stack. The windows are glazing bar sashes of various sizes. The building is three storeys high and has a two-window range. The front facade includes two windows with an off-centre sign bracket between them, and above are two smaller windows. There is an off-centre six-panelled door flanked by single sash windows, and to the right, there is a 19th-century half-glazed door leading to a passage. The interior was refitted in the late 20th century.
