Description
This is a V-section, white painted, cast-iron milestone located on the A20 London Road at Ditton, Kent. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is attached to an earlier painted milestone. The head of the milepost features the inscription in black-painted relief that reads 'To/LONDON/31/Ditton', which is parallel to the road. On the east-facing angle, it displays the legend 'WROTHAM/7', while the west face shows 'MAIDSTONE/3'.
