Description
The Clifford Sheldon Club House is a mid-19th century oasthouse that now serves as a sports club house. It features a combination of red and blue brick with some first-floor timber-framing that is clad in painted weather-boarding, set upon a random rubble ground floor in the southwestern block. The building has plain tiled hipped roofs with a central valley, and the roof ridge of the eastern block is slightly higher than the rest. It is two storeys tall, with the southwestern block displaying 20th-century sliding sash windows on both floors of the south and west fronts. The south front includes a boarded door to the left of centre, with double wagon doors to the right, topped by a bressumer and first-floor double doors that have a small gabled hoist above. On the north side, there are four large roundels made of red and blue brick, each featuring cowls and wind-vanes.
