Description

The Lavenders is a former house that has been converted into a retirement home. It dates from the early 19th century and features a rendered exterior with a hipped slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three windows that are positioned endwise to the road. The front elevation includes casement windows with marginal glazing on the first floor, French windows with blind boxes on the ground floor, and a central doorcase that is adorned with a wooden cornice, pilasters, and panelled reveals. The elevation facing Lavenders Road has three bays, which includes a French window on the ground floor. There is also a one-storey extension on the left side of the building.
