Description
Manor Cottage is a house that has been converted into a rest home. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and was extended in the early 19th century, with some alterations that may include earlier work. The exterior is rendered and features concrete double Roman tile roofs. The building has three storeys and three windows, with an additional two windows in a two-storey wing to the left (south). All the windows are glazing bar sashes. The main block has a central portico supported by Tuscan columns and pilasters, topped with a plain entablature. The second-floor windows rise through the parapet as gabled dormers with ball finials. The lower wing has a pitched roof, and there is a very large 20th-century extension at the rear.
