Description

Clarendon House is an early 19th-century house, now used as a rest home. It is built with lined-out render, dressed with freestone, has wrought iron balcony detailing, and slate roofs. The house is three storeys high and has three windows. The ground floor windows are glazing bar sashes with 16 panes, set within shouldered architraves. A central porch is supported by pilasters. The front door has margin glazing. The first floor features a fine balcony with floreate columns, trellis work, and a tent roof. Plain end pilaster strips run up to the cornice and plain parapet. A similar single-storey wing extends to the right. A large 20th-century extension is located at the rear.
