It dates back to the Norman period and the 14th century, with a 19th-century roof and restoration in the 20th century. The structure is made of stone rubble and features corner buttresses. The east end has two stone arched windows, while the north front includes a blocked-in arch. The west front features a 20th-century bellcote and a blocked-in round-headed arch with three small pointed arched windows, one of which is set within the arch. On the ground floor, there is a round-headed arched doorway with a fragment of zigzag moulding as the keystone, along with a blocked round-headed doorway. The library has a four-centred arched door with mottoes in the spandrels and an unusual 19th-century roof of the arched brace type.
