Description

This is an early 18th-century pair of cottages located on the south side of Monkton Street in Monkton. The cottages are built of painted brick, with roughcast on the right return, and have a plain tiled roof. They are one storey and attic in height, built on a plinth, and feature a hipped roof with three dormers, and one on the right return. There are three stacks at the rear, one central and one to the right. The front elevation has four segmental-headed sash windows with glazing bars, and a lozenge-shaped window above a central boarded door protected by a flat hood. An identical boarded door with a flat hood is located at the right end of the cottages.
