Description

This is a pair of houses built in the 1840s on the north side of St. Augustine’s Road, Ramsgate. They are constructed of stock brick with a rendered base and a slate roof. The houses are three storeys high with a basement and feature a rusticated base and rusticated quoins on the right side. A parapet tops the roof, with a central stack. Two prominent three-storey canted bays dominate the centre of the facade. The left bay has a half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight and a keyed head, leading to six steps. The right bay has a similar glazed door with a fanlight and six steps. The basement windows retain their original vertical glazing bars. Simple railings enclose the steps, with fleur-de-lys details in the basement areas.
