Description

This is a pair of houses located on the north side of St. Augustine’s Road in Ramsgate. They were built in the 1840s. The houses are constructed primarily of stock brick, with some areas rendered, and have a slate roof. They are three storeys high with a basement, featuring a rusticated base and a parapet. There are prominent chimney stacks to the left, centre, and right of the building. The second floor has four sash windows with gauged heads. Two two-storey canted bays are present, also with sash windows. The houses have panelled doors with rectangular fanlights within surrounds featuring keystones, accessed by flights of six steps. Basement access is provided via sashes and half-glazed doors. Fleur-de-lys railings, decorated with acanthus leaves, enclose the side piers to the steps.
