Description

The Old Coach House, dating to the 1830s, is a coach house, now used as garages and a flat. It is built of stock brick with a corrugated asbestos roof. The building is two storeys high and features six sash windows with gauged heads on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are four 20th-century garage doors, with a centrally located recessed half-glazed door. A large iron lantern is fixed to a wall bracket above the door. It was likely built as mews buildings to accompany contemporary terraces on St. Augustine's and Royal Roads, and is included on the list for its group value.
