Garage, Netherdale House

Netherdale House features an early 19th-century garage that serves as a coachhouse. This two-storey structure has seven bays, with a central pend leading to stables on the left and a coachman's house on the right. It is built of squared and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The pend has a depressed arch in an advanced, pedimented bay, and there is a blind bulls-eye window in the pediment.

The stable range on the left consists of three bays, with a central door flanked by windows and three small windows under the eaves on the first floor. Inside, there is a droved floor and stall partitions on the ground level.

The coachman's house on the right also has three bays, with a ground floor similar to the stables, and two windows on the first floor raised to piended dormerheads. One window on the outer right is now blocked, and there are two dormerheads at the rear on the first floor.

The windows throughout are sash and case, predominantly featuring a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with graded grey slates, and it has coped ashlar skews, as well as ashlar ridges and stacks.

Additionally, there is a garage built at right angles to the south around 1930. This wooden structure includes garage workshops and a porte cochere supported by wooden bracketed columns. It features large sliding half-glazed doors to the north and west, with inspection pits in the concrete floor inside. The garage has overhanging eaves and a timber Kingpost detail at the gablehead of its zinc roof.
