Description

The Peathouse at Tytup Hall is a coach house and stable, now functioning as a garage with a flat above. It was likely built in the early 19th century and has been altered since its original construction. The building features roughcast walls and a graduated slate roof. It stands two storeys high with a blind, gabled front, but there are three windows on the first floor of the left side that faces the courtyard. The front gable is adorned with shaped kneelers and ashlar gable copings, which include a ball finial on the left and another at the apex. On the left side, there is a double garage door to the left of a stable door, along with a segmentally-arched iron casement window that has glazing bars and a six-pane opening light. The first floor has tall 20th-century casement windows with projecting sills and glazing bars, and the left end gable features copings and an apex finial. This building is included in the listing for its group value only.
