Description

This is a pair of houses dating from around 1850, located on the south side of West Cliff Road, Ramsgate. The houses are built of white stock brick, with some areas rendered, and have a slate roof. They are three storeys high, with a basement, and feature a rusticated base and quoins, alongside a parapet to the hipped roof. A central chimney stack is also present. The upper floors have four round-headed sashes with Y-tracery on the second floor, four sashes with moulded surrounds on the first floor, and two canted bays with a glazed verandah featuring cast iron rails, piers, and valancing on the ground floor. Double-panelled doors are located on either side of the houses, leading to flights of six steps. Two glazing bar sashes are also visible in the basement.
