Description

Priory House is a house dating to around 1840, located on the west cliff of Ramsgate. The house is constructed of stock brick with rendered details, and has two storeys and a basement. It features a string course, quoins, and a parapet to the roof, with stacks positioned to the left and right. The first floor has three sash windows with moulded surrounds and cornices on the outer windows, where the jambs extend down to the string course. A central bowed palmate iron balcony is present. Below, the ground floor has two sash windows with flying cornices. The basement windows have vermiculated rusticated surrounds. A central half-glazed door, protected by a Doric porch at the top of nine steps with cast iron railings, is a prominent feature.
