Description
Torrington Villa is a pair of houses dating to 1858. The houses are constructed of stock brick to the side elevations, with red and partly rendered brick to the front, and have a slate roof. They are three storeys high with a basement. The facade features a horizontally rusticated base, cill bands, and quoins extending to the cornice parapet, with secondary quoins at the sides. The roof has stacks on the left and right, indicating a double span. The second floor has four round-headed sash windows, while the first floor has paired sashes within rendered surrounds with cornices and projecting cills. The ground floor features two tripartite sashes with pediments supported by brackets, and sashes are also present in the basement. A sashed oriel window is located on the right return. Included is a datestone on the right return, above the porch sidelight, inscribed "EAB 1858". The front doors are two-panelled, set within keyed semi-circular surrounds.
