Description

This is a pair of mid-19th century houses located at North Brink, Wisbech. They are a symmetrical design, constructed of local brown brick with a slate roof, featuring parapet gables and end stacks. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement level. The upper floors each have four six-paned hung sash windows, set within cambered, gauged red brick arches and stone cills. The ground floor has two large six-paned hung sash windows to either side of a matching pair of six-panelled doors, each with a rectangular fanlight. Stone steps approach the entrances, flanked by low brick walls with stone coping, leading to the front doors. Railings and gates provide access from the street, with steps leading down to the basement level. The basement has two hung sash windows and two half-glazed doors. The interior retains a good open-string staircase and original panelled doors and chimney pieces.
