Description

This is a pair of houses located at 17 and 19 Highshore Road, built around 1836. They are constructed of stock brick with red brick dressings and have a stucco ground floor. The houses feature a low pitched, hipped slate roof with projecting eaves. Each house has two storeys, with a main bay that forms a projecting centerpiece, flanked by recesses and canted corners. There are side entrance bays that are set back and have subsidiary hipped roofs. The front doors are six-panel designs with oblong fanlights and timber trellis porches. The sash windows have flat, gauged-brick arches and glazing bars set in plain reveals. A stucco band runs between the floors. The interior has not been inspected.
