Description

Walmer Cottage is a house located in St Nicholas at Wade, dating from the early 18th century but rebuilt in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red and brown brick with a plain tiled roof. The building has one storey and an attic, set on a plinth, and features a dogtooth cornice at the roofline with kneelered gables. There are two hipped semi-dormers and a central stack. The façade includes two segmental-headed metal casements and a central half-glazed door with a flat hood above. The lower courses of brickwork are laid in a variant of Flemish garden wall bond. Walmer Cottage is attached to Bramble Cottage and is included for its group value.
