Description

Chalk Garden is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The building is laid out in an L-shape. It has two storeys and a half-hipped roof with chimney stacks to the rear left and right. The first floor has two horizontally sliding sash windows. The ground floor has two segmental-headed wooden casements with flying cornices. A central half-glazed door provides access to the interior. A single-storey extension is located to the right containing two wooden casements. A plaque on the left return of the building is inscribed "A R E".
