Description

Bramble Cottage is a late 17th-century house that was altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brown brick with a plain tiled roof. The house is two storeys and an attic, and stands on a plinth with a dog tooth cornice. The roof has kneelers on the gables, a hipped dormer, and stacks to the left, centre right, and end right. There are three glazing bar sashes on the first floor, and two segmental-headed glazing bar sashes on the ground floor. The central ground floor entrance is a boarded door with a flat hood. To the extreme right, a portion of the original brickwork remains, including a 17th-century wooden casement window with a basket arched head and a section of a plat band. The right return has a wing of one storey and an attic, with one hipped and one flat-roofed dormer, and an entrance passage leading to a rear courtyard.
