Description
85 and 87 King Street is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of painted and rendered brick and features a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall with a basement, topped by a parapet and a central stack. The second and first floors have glazing bar sash windows and a blank window space, while the ground floor has two glazing bar sashes and a six-panel door to the left, which has a gauged semi-circular head. The corner of the building is rounded, with a plate glass window and a blank window space on each floor of the right return, and a half-glazed door on the ground floor. This building is marked on Collard and Hurst's 1822 plan of Ramsgate.
