Description
Foxhill Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It is timber framed and clad with painted brick and weatherboarding, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building features a two-bay lobby entry plan and stands two storeys high with a hipped roof, which has stacks at the centre and a projecting stack at the right end. There are two wooden casements on each floor, with outshots to both the left and right. The entry is located in a glazed porch at the rear right.
Inside, the heavy frame is visible, along with an inglenook fireplace. The cottage may have originally been an earlier hall house that had a ceiling inserted, and the roof has been renewed. Mullioned windows are now only visible from the interior, and the central door on the front elevation is also only visible from inside.
