Description

Oast Cottage is a 16th-century house. It is timber-framed with exposed framing and plaster infill, and has a plain tiled roof. The house has an L-shaped plan. The road-facing front has one storey and an attic, with a projecting jetty at the left end and a hipped roof featuring two hipped dormers and a stack at the right end. The ground floor has two wooden casement windows, and to the right is a plank and stud door; a blocked arched doorway is at the right end. A rear wing is two storeys high with a continuous jetty and a stack to the rear.
